Pola kalimat Present Perfect Simple

Affirmative (kalimat positif)

I/You/We/They  + have + Verb3 (past participle).

She/He/It + has + Verb3

Negative (kalimat negatif)

I/You/We/They + have not + verb3

She/He/It  + has not + verb3

Yes/No Questions 

Have + I/You/We/They + verb3?

Has + She/He/It + verb3?

5W1H Questions

What/Where/etc + have + I/You/We/They + verb3?

What/Where/etc + has + She/He/It + verb3?

Kalimat nominal/kalimat yang predikatnya bukan kata kerja.

I/You/We/They + have + been + ...

She/He/It + has + been + ...

Bentuk Verb (past participle)

Bentuk kata kerja adalah bentuk kata kerja ketiga.

Jika ia adalah regular verb, maka berakhiran -d atau -ed.

Irregular verb mempunyai polanya tersendiri.


Contoh regular verb:

Verb bentuk pertama = wait
Verb bentuk kedua (Past simple) = waited
Verb bentuk ketiga (past participle) = waited


Contoh irregular verb:

Verb bentuk pertama = see
Verb bentuk kedua (Past simple) = saw
Verb bentuk ketiga (past participle) = seen

Penggunaan present perfect simple

Kita dapat menggunakan present perfect tense untuk:

1. Menjelaskan tentang kejadian di waktu lampau tanpa batasan waktu (intinya adalah kejadiannya di waktu lampau).

Dalam bahasa Inggrisnya adalah : "The action happening in a period of time up to the present, but exact time not known."

Contoh: Rudy has broken a window in our house.
Artinya: Rudy telah memecahkan jendela di rumah kami.


2. Untuk menjelaskan aktivitas yang telah selesai di dalam suatu periode waktu.

Contoh:

Sri has cleaned my room.
Artinya: Sri telah membersihkan ruangan saya.


3. Untuk menjelaskan banyaknya sesuatu yang seseorang telah lakukan.

Contoh:

Scientists have found more than 50 new insects.
Artinya: Para peneliti telah menemukan lebih dari 50 serangga.


4. Untuk menceritakan pengalaman.

Contoh:

I have travelled by plane, but I have not found a good place to enjoy the holiday.
Artinya: Saya telah bepergian dengan pesawat, tapi belum pernah menemukan tempat yang bagus untuk menikmati liburan.


5. Untuk memberikan informasi baru atau mengumumkan kejadian yang baru saja terjadi.

Contoh:

The road is closed. There has been an accident.
Artinya : Jalanan itu ditutup. Telah ada sebuah kecelakaan.

Kata pendukung di dalam simple perfect tense

- Just => short time ago = baru saja

- Recently = baru saja; baru-baru ini

- ever = pernah

- never = tidak pernah

- already = sudah

- yet => Biasanya digunakan pada negative dan interrogative sentences.

- not .. yet = belum

- so far

- up till now

- before

Fungsi kata for dan since pada present perfect simple

a. For digunakan untuk menyatakan panjang/lama waktu.

Contoh:

Saya telah bekerja di sini selama dua tahun.
Bahasa Inggrisnya = I've worked here for two years.


b. since digunakan untuk menyatakan kapan dimulainya suatu aktivitas.

Contoh:

Kami tinggal di Doha sejak 2012.
Bahasa Inggrisnya = We have lived in Doha since 2012.
